Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. It works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The pinpricks created with microneedling cause micro-trauma to the dermis(second layer of skin). The injury triggers a healing response from the body stimulating fibroblasts to create more collagen. This new skin tissue is, in turn, is more even in tone and texture. It is normal for the skin to lose collagen with age or trauma(scars). By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there is more collagen, helping firm the skin. Microneedling is most often used on the face to treat acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, reduced skin elasticity, as well as uneven skin tone and texture.
Collagen P.I.N.®is an FDA-cleared microneedling device that effectively works to trigger the body's natural healing response, reduce acne scars, and improve skin texture. Collagen P.I.N.®uses a sterile disposable tip with 36 fine needles to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. These tiny punctures kickstart the body's wound-healing process, stimulating new collagen and elastin production. The micro-channels allow topical serums, like hyaluronic acid, to penetrate deeper for better results. Microneedling treatments with Collagen P.I.N.® are most often used on the face to treat acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, reduced skin elasticity, as well as uneven skin tone and texture.
